Ok, these winter months have had me running in circles – and not the fun genealogy circles.
New job, new odd hours.
Holidays, goodness, the holidays.
Kids home from school.
And finally a great vacation in January.
Wow!
I know excuses excuses. I try to sit down and get started on a post but end up spending time doing research.
I thought I was finally breaking through my Thomas Powers brick wall after I started doing the trees for a a few DNA matches, but no, they all connect to through the offspring of a great grandson of Thomas 🙁 chased too many false leads to find that Davis line and to figure out finally that there are no matches on my Powers line past Thomas.
I’ve also been slowly organizing and sorting the documents from my aunt’s house. I want to start scanning but I also want to make sure I know what I have before jumping in so it can all stay somewhat organized.
So, no, the blog isn’t forgotten, I’m just trying to keep up with life at the moment.
