Yes, I find the amount of common surnames amusing.

All of these lines are in the southern states of the US. Carolinas into Georgia and then into Alabama. One line is in Tennessee, Marion County. 1 of these individuals came from Ireland the other lines came to Tennessee via North and South Carolina

  • Carter (I’ll give you a sec to stop laughing) multiple Carter lines from the Carolinas, to Georgia, to Alabama

  • Hammond North Carolina to Alabama

  • Kilgore – 2 lines, Georgia to Alabama

  • Lloyd – Georgia into Alabama
  • Long (I know it never ends with these common names)

  • McCullars (and every other spelling) McCullers/McCullough/McCollugh
  • McNabb – Tennessee
  • Mason (you can take a breath now) Tennessee

  • Powers (don’t even) Tennessee and Ireland (just don’t know where in Ireland)
